The community of Dartmouth is part of the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Dartmouth is reasonably well-suited for walking; carrying out daily needs is convenient on foot. The bicycle is a fairly good mode of transportation in this part of Halifax. The public transit service in Dartmouth is somewhat poor. Nonetheless, there are around 30 bus lines passing through the community, and bus stops are not very far away from most homes. However, the best method to move around in Dartmouth is usually driving. Many properties for sale are a rather short drive from the closest highway, and it is convenient to find a place to park.
