Situated in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Penhorn is a neighbourhood within Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Moving around by car is very easy in this part of the municipality. Nearby highways are very easy to reach from any home in this part of Halifax, and it is straightforward to come across a place to park. However, the public transit network in Penhorn is fairly poor. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines, and bus stops are usually nearby. It is at times challenging for people walking to navigate this part of Halifax as many daily needs are occasionally difficult to meet on foot. This neighbourhood is also not particularly bike-friendly since there is a significant amount of elevation changes, and the bicycling network is not very comprehensive.

Services

In this area, parents and their kids will almost always be able to get to daycares and primary schools on foot. On the other hand, there are no high schools in Penhorn.
