Situated within the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Shannon Park is a neighbourhood within Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Cars are an excellent means of transportation in Shannon Park. Nearby highways are very easy to access from anywhere in this neighbourhood, and it is especially convenient to park. On the other hand, the public transit service in Shannon Park is not very frequent. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are usually nearby. This part of Halifax is not especially appropriate for cycling because there are few bike lanes, and there is a significant amount of elevation changes. Shannon Park is also not very well-suited for walking because few day-to-day errands can be run without needing to resort to a vehicle.

Services

In Shannon Park, families will almost always be able to reach primary schools on foot. On the other hand, Shannon Park does not have any high schools.
