The neighbourhood of Central is part of the city of Oshawa, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Oshawa metropolitan area.

Transportation

Central will attract physically active people because it is conducive to walking; many common errands can be run on foot, and various businesses are quite close by. This part of Oshawa is also amenable to bicycling because Central boasts a fairly good cycling infrastructure. The best transportation option in this area is often a car. It is convenient to access a parking spot, and the majority of houses for sale are a short car ride from the closest highway, such as Highway 401. In contrast, the public transit service in this part of Oshawa is not especially frequent. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by around 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most houses.
