Part of the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Riverview is a neighbourhood within Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

This part of Halifax is very car friendly. It is especially convenient to park, and the majority of real estate listings are a short car ride from the nearest highway. In contrast, getting around by public transit is challenging in Riverview. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually very close. Commuting by bicycle is challenging in Riverview as the bicycling network is fairly poor, and the topography is not very flat. Travelling on foot is also not especially practical for home buyers in this part of the municipality because few daily needs can be carried out by walking.

Services

It is a reasonably short walk to reach secondary schools and daycares from anywhere in this area. However, there are no primary schools in Riverview. As far as eating is concerned, it is generally an option for property owners in this part of Halifax to shop for their groceries on foot.
