The neighbourhood of Rocky Lake can be found in the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are a great means of transportation in Rocky Lake. The majority of properties for sale are a rather short drive from the closest highway, and it is very convenient to park. On the other hand, the public transit system in Rocky Lake is not very convenient. Nonetheless, property owners have access to a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is typically just around the corner. This part of Halifax is not very bike-friendly because there are a fair number of hills, and there are few bike lanes. Travelling on foot is also not particularly feasible for residents in Rocky Lake as few daily needs can be met by walking.

Services

In this area, parents and their schoolchildren will generally be able to get to both primary and secondary schools on foot. However, daycares are not particularly numerous and consequently may require a long walk to get to. With respect to eating, it is convenient to access the closest grocery store on foot in Rocky Lake.
