Sector T is a neighbourhood within Brossard, Quebec, which is located in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Transportation

This part of the city presents property owners with the choice between a variety of methods of transportation. Thanks to Panama on the Gare Centrale - Brossard, and around 20 nearby bus lines, residents can rely on public transit to travel in this area. The bike is a fairly good mode of transportation in sector T as the bicycling network is quite extensive, and cyclists do not encounter serious elevation changes. Walking in this neighbourhood is not very popular, although many common errands can be run without having to resort to a vehicle. On the other hand, driving is very often the preferred mode of transportation in sector T. Nearby highways, such as Autoroute René-Lévesque, are very easy to reach from any location in sector T, and it is convenient to park.

Services

Daycares and primary schools are convenient to reach on foot from most homes for sale in sector T. On the other hand, this area does not contain any high schools. With regards to eating, some residents in sector T may be able to shop for groceries on foot, while others will have to rely on a vehicle. There are also a limited number of choices for those who care about restaurants and cafes within walking distance.

Character

There is a great variety of green spaces in sector T. More specifically, parks are easy to reach since there are a few of them close by for residents to enjoy. Despite the abundance of parks, the tree canopy coverage for most streets is sub-par. Finally, as there are few pedestrians, this part of the city remains relatively quiet; however those who are around Autoroute René-Lévesque or Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est may experience higher levels of noise.

Housing

Roughly three quarters of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and renters occupy the remainder. In this area, roughly half of buildings are single detached homes, whereas the rest are mainly small apartment buildings and townhouses. This part of Brossard experienced its biggest construction boom in the 1960s and 1970s, so most of the available properties are from this era. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
