Located within the Greater Montreal metropolitan area, Sector T is a neighbourhood within Brossard, Quebec.

Transportation

Regardless of the means of transportation, it is easy to travel in sector T. The car is usually the preferred method to navigate sector T. It is easy to park, and nearby highways, such as Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est, are very easy to reach from anywhere in this part of the city. Homeowners can also count on public transit to get around in this area. More precisely, the nearest rapid transit station, such as Panama with access to the Gare Centrale - Brossard, is ordinarily within walking distance from the bulk of residences in the neighbourhood. There are around 20 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most houses. This area is amenable to bicycling because the cycling network is comprehensive, and there are a limited number of elevation changes to challenge cyclists. However, travelling by foot in sector T is not very popular, although many daily errands can be run without the use of a vehicle.

Services

Parents and their kids will value that wherever their house is located in this part of Brossard, primary schools and daycares are close by. On the other hand, this area does not contain any high schools. With respect to food, getting to the closest grocery store on foot is possible for some, but not all, home buyers in sector T. There are also approximately 10 restaurants and coffee shops in sector T.

Character

There is a great variety of green spaces in sector T. To be more specific, there are a few parks nearby for residents to visit and they are especially well-spread out, making it easy to access them. Despite the abundance of green spaces, the tree canopy coverage for most streets is sub-par. Lastly, as there are few pedestrians, this neighbourhood is relatively quiet; however there can be more noise for those who are around Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est or Autoroute René-Lévesque.

Housing

Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing around half of buildings in sector T, whereas the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings and townhouses. The majority of the properties in this part of Brossard were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while most of the remaining buildings were built in the 1980s. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Around three quarters of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners whereas the rest are rented.
