Situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, York is a former municipality within Toronto, Ontario.

Transportation

York enables property owners to travel by a diversity of modes of transportation. York has a very good public transit infrastructure. In particular, there is Eglinton West Station - Northbound Platform, Eglinton West Station - Southbound Platform and Jane Station - Westbound Platform with access to the Line 2 (Bloor - Danforth) and Line 1 (Yonge-University). Homeowners can rely on the Weston GO Station and Weston on the Union Pearson Express and Kitchener. The former municipality is linked by approximately 40 bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually just around the corner. This part of Toronto is also very conducive to those who travel by foot; meeting daily needs is easy by walking, and numerous businesses are reasonably close by. This area is quite amenable to cycling.

It is straightforward to reach both a general and a specialty grocery store by walking from any home in York. Likewise, there is commonly a restaurant or cafe just around the corner.
