Shearwater is a community within Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is an excellent transportation option in this part of the municipality. Parking is generally easy. In contrast, Shearwater is not an especially pleasant part of Halifax for travelling by public transit. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines passing through the community, and most residences are very close to a bus stop. Many of the homes for sale in this part of the municipality are located in areas that are not very well-suited for walking because meeting daily needs is challenging by walking. The bike is a somewhat poor method of transportation in Shearwater since the bicycling network is not very extensive, and there are quite a few slopes. Nevertheless, cycling is reasonably popular.

Services

It is very rarely an option for home buyers in Shearwater to purchase their groceries on foot. On the other hand, a cafe is typically a reasonably short walk away. Concerning education, this area does not have any high schools or primary schools. Moreover, parents and their schoolchildren may consider it very difficult to access daycares on foot.
