Part of the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Fergusons Cove is a community within Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Fergusons Cove is an extremely convenient part of Halifax for moving around by car. It is especially convenient to park. In contrast, public transit users may have limited options in Fergusons Cove due to the service's low frequency. Nevertheless, homeowners have access to a few bus lines, and it is very convenient to find a nearby bus stop from most houses. Fergusons Cove is not very well-suited for those who travel by foot since running daily errands is very impractical by walking. The bike is a fairly poor mode of transportation in this area as the bicycling network is not very comprehensive, and there is a significant amount of hills.

Services

This part of Halifax does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Additionally, it can be very hard to reach daycares as a pedestrian. With respect to food, it is very rarely an option for house buyers in this part of the municipality to purchase their groceries on foot.

Character

Fergusons Cove offers a slower-paced atmosphere and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time in green spaces. This part of the municipality is especially quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic. Finally, public green spaces, including Connaught Battery Park, are very well-situated and there are a few of them close by for residents to unwind in, making them easy to reach.
