Transportation

The car is usually the favoured way to navigate Hatchet Lake. Coming across a place to park is generally easy. It is very inconvenient for people walking to navigate Hatchet Lake as almost no day-to-day errands can be run without the use of a vehicle. This part of Halifax is also not especially cycling-friendly as there are a fair number of hills for cyclists to brave, and the bicycling network is not very well-developed.

Services

It is a reasonably short walk to get to both primary and secondary schools from anywhere in Hatchet Lake. However, parents and their schoolchildren may find it challenging to access daycares as a pedestrian.
