Goffs

Goffs is a community within Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Goffs is very car friendly. It is very convenient to park, and most properties for sale are a very short drive from the closest highway. On the other hand, Goffs is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, homeowners have access to a few bus lines, and most residences are near a bus stop. This area is not very bicycling-friendly since there are a good number of elevation changes, and the cycling network is quite bad. Travelling on foot is also not very practical for property owners in Goffs as almost no daily errands can be run without the use of a car.

Services

In all but a very small number of cases, a car is needed to shop for groceries. With respect to education, there are no high schools and no primary schools in Goffs.

Character

Goffs is a community to buy a home in for those who prefer a laid-back environment. Goffs is a wonderful area for those who don't mind a little noise, as traffic can occasionally be loud during busier hours of the day. Parks aren't well-located, which makes it very hard to access them.

Housing

The buildings in this community are very modern, because roughly one third of its buildings were built following the year 2000, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1980s. Single detached homes and row houses are the predominant housing type in this area. Homeowners occupy nearly 95% of the properties in the community whereas the remainder are rented. This community also has quite a good selection of housing sizes - however this part of the municipality is notable for those looking for three bedroom homes.
