Little Lorraine

The community of Little Lorraine can be found in the municipality of Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Little Lorraine is an extraordinarily convenient part of Cape Breton Municipality for travelling by car. It is very easy to park. Many of the houses for sale in this community are located in places that are not very convenient for those who travel by foot as most daily needs are nearly impossible to carry out by walking. Little Lorraine is also not very suited for biking as there are very few bike lanes, and there is a considerable amount of hills.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in this community. Regarding food, property owners in this part of the municipality almost always need a car to do grocery shopping.

Character

The character of Little Lorraine is exemplified by its relaxed environment. Although this community does not contain any parks, green spaces are well-distributed in nearby communities, making it very easy to reach them. This part of the municipality is also especially quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.

Housing

The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of Little Lorraine is an important part of its character. This area is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly all of the properties in Little Lorraine while the rest are rented. About one third of properties in this community were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s.
