Bayridge is a neighbourhood within West Vancouver, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

This area is an extremely good part of West Vancouver for getting around by car. It is a short drive to the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, from any location in this part of the municipality, and it is very convenient to park. However, the public transit service in this area is not very frequent. Nonetheless, homeowners have access to a few bus lines, and bus stops are commonly nearby. Travelling on foot is not very practical for residents in this part of the municipality because very few daily errands can be run without the use of a car. Bayridge is also not very appropriate for bicycling because riding is made arduous by the typically hilly terrain, and there are few bike lanes.

Services

In Bayridge, families will usually be able to reach daycares and primary schools on foot. On the other hand, there are no high schools in this neighbourhood. Regarding food, buying one's groceries very often requires the use of a car in this part of West Vancouver.

Character

People who prefer a slower-paced ambience will enjoy Bayridge. Parks are easy to access since there are a few of them nearby for residents to explore. This part of West Vancouver is also fairly good for those who need quiet surroundings, as the streets are usually calm - although there are still several noisier sections, especially near the railway line or Trans-Canada Highway.

Housing

Homeowners occupy about 80% of the units in Bayridge whereas the remainder are rented. The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of this neighbourhood is an important part of its character. Around 45% of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed between 1960 and 1980, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s. Notably, this neighbourhood is good for those looking for four or more bedroom homes.
