Part of the Greater Nanaimo metropolitan area, Dover is a neighbourhood within Nanaimo, British Columbia.

Transportation

The car is very often the best method to navigate Dover. Nearby highways are very easy to drive to from anywhere in Dover, and it is straightforward to access a place to park. On the other hand, public transit users may have few options in this neighbourhood by reason of the infrequent service. Nevertheless, house owners are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most residences. Moving around by bicycle is at times challenging in Dover because this neighbourhood is home to a sometimes poor bicycling infrastructure, and there is a significant amount of slopes. Many of the homes for sale in this part of the city are located in places that are also not especially conducive to walking since few common errands can be run on foot.
