Pointe Théoret is a neighbourhood within Montréal, Quebec, which is situated in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Transportation

This neighbourhood is very car friendly. It is very convenient to park. A majority of the houses for sale in this part of the city are located in areas that are not very conducive to those who travel by foot as common amenities such as barbers or hardware stores can be an extended walk away. This neighbourhood is also not especially cycling-friendly since there are a good number of elevation changes, and the bicycling network is quite bad.

Services

It is very rarely feasible for house buyers in this part of Montréal to reach the nearest supermarket on foot. Regarding education, Pointe Théoret does not have any high schools or primary schools. Additionally, daycares are not numerous and accordingly not always within walking distance.

Character

Home buyers who prefer a calm ambience will enjoy Pointe Théoret. This neighbourhood is very quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Lastly, the greenery in this neighbourhood is very prominent; although Pointe Théoret does not contain any public green spaces, parks are especially well-located in nearby neighbourhoods, making them easy to reach. Moreover, residents will find that the tree canopy coverage for most streets is great.

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing most buildings in Pointe Théoret, whereas the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings. This neighbourhood experienced its biggest building boom between 1960 and 1980, so most of the available properties are from this era. This part of Montréal offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Around 80% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home while the rest are renters.
