Transportation

Gay Village does not require driving because several other modes of transportation are available. Owing to plenty of nearby rapid transit stations on the Ligne 1 - Verte, Ligne 4 - Jaune and Ligne 2 - Orange, and approximately 10 nearby bus lines, commuting by public transit is especially convenient in this neighbourhood. Gay Village is also an extraordinarily convenient part of Montréal for pedestrians; most common errands can be run without the use of a vehicle, and many businesses of different types can be found as well. Cycling is very adopted in this neighbourhood since there is always a bike-share station in proximity, bicycle riders do not encounter significant slopes, and the bicycling infrastructure is quite comprehensive.

Families will appreciate that wherever their house is located in Gay Village, daycares and schools are close by. In terms of food, property owners in this area will appreciate that a general and a specialty grocery store is always only a very short walk away. Furthermore, owing to approximately 40 restaurants and a few coffee shops, Gay Village is a very good place in which to go out to eat, for example along Rue Sainte-Catherine.
