Transportation

Little Portugal is an excellent part of Toronto for environmentally friendly transportation options. Owing to around 10 nearby bus lines, this part of the city is home to an excellent public transit system. Travelling on foot is also very practical for residents in Little Portugal; meeting daily needs is very convenient, and a variety of businesses are very close by. Physically active people will enjoy the very bicycling-friendly nature of Little Portugal. More precisely, the cycling network is quite comprehensive, bike-share stations are seldomly more than a few blocks away, and there are few hills to confront cyclists.

Services

It is especially convenient to reach both a general and a specialty grocery store by walking from any location in this part of Toronto. Moreover, owing to 50-odd restaurants and cafes in this area, there is generally a spot to get a meal or a beverage just around the corner, for instance on Queen Street.
