The neighbourhood of Kennedy Park is part of the city of Toronto, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Kennedy Park will appeal to property owners that use a diversity of methods of transportation. This part of the city is very transit friendly. More specifically, the closest train station, such as the Kennedy on the Stouffville, is commonly within walking distance from the bulk of houses in the neighbourhood. Rapid transit stations, such as Kennedy Station - Westbound Platform and Kennedy Station - Subway Platform on the Line 2 (Bloor - Danforth), are not particularly far from the greater part of homes in the neighbourhood. House owners benefit from around 30 bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. Physically active property owners will also appreciate the quite walk-friendly nature of this part of the city; many common errands can be run without the use of a vehicle, and numerous businesses are close by. This neighbourhood is appropriate for biking.

Services

The closest supermarket in Kennedy Park is generally only a short walk away. Additionally, those who like to eat in restaurants will have a good number of opportunities, and residents can enjoy a few cafes as well. As far as education is concerned, in Kennedy Park, parents and their kids will almost always be able to get to daycares and schools on foot. Residents have the choice between public and private schools at both the elementary and secondary school level.

Character

Kennedy Park offers a vast selection of green spaces to enjoy, despite its sometimes busy feel. More specifically, there are approximately 10 public green spaces close by for residents to unwind in, like Pine Hills Cemetery, and they are very well-spread out, making it very easy to get to them. In addition, residents will find that the tree canopy coverage for most streets is reasonably good. The majority of areas of this neighbourhood are very calm and quiet, but some other parts can be noisy, especially closer to one of the railway lines.

Housing

In Kennedy Park, about 45% of dwellings are large apartment buildings, while small apartment buildings, duplexes, and single detached homes make up most of the remaining housing stock. This part of Toronto is primarily composed of three bedroom and two bedroom homes. There are equal parts owners and renters living in this neighbourhood. About one third of properties in this area were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s.
