The neighbourhood of Downsview is part of the city of Toronto, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

This area permits property owners to get around using several means of transportation. Homeowners can rely on public transit to navigate this neighbourhood. For instance, there is Downsview Park Station - Southbound Platform and Downsview Park Station - Northbound Platform on the Line 1 (Yonge-University). Property owners can count on the Downsview Park on the Barrie. House owners have access to approximately 20 bus lines, and bus stops are generally nearby. This neighbourhood is also a fairly convenient part of Toronto for pedestrians; many daily needs are easy to meet without the use of a vehicle. It is easy to commute by bicycle in this area.

It is convenient to get to the closest supermarket by walking in Downsview. Likewise, this part of the city is a fairly good place in which to eat out, and a limited selection of cafes is available as well. People who prefer a calm atmosphere will enjoy Downsview. This neighbourhood is quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although there are still several noisier sections, especially around Highway 400, Highway 401 or the railway line. Lastly, there is a fair amount of greenery in this part of the city as most streets have good tree coverage. Accessing green spaces, including Roding Park and Chalkfarm Park, is very easy from the majority of locations in the neighbourhood since there are approximately 30 of them nearby for residents to discover.
