The neighbourhood of Gemstone is part of the city of Thunder Bay, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Thunder Bay metropolitan area.

Transportation

The favoured method of transportation in Gemstone is very often a car. Nearby highways are quite easy to drive to from anywhere in Gemstone, and it is very convenient to access a parking spot. However, this part of Thunder Bay is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and it is very convenient to find a nearby bus stop from most homes. Gemstone is not particularly bicycling-friendly because the cycling network is not very extensive, and the topography is not very flat. It is also impractical for pedestrians to navigate Gemstone as meeting daily needs is inconvenient by walking.

Services
