Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Doncrest is a neighbourhood within Richmond Hill, Ontario.

Transportation

This area is a fairly pleasant part of Richmond Hill for pedestrians; many common errands can be run without having to use a car. Doncrest is also amenable to cycling. The preferred way to get around in Doncrest is very often driving. Most real estate listings are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Highway 407, and coming across a parking spot is quite easy. However, commuting by transit can be sometimes challenging in this area as a result of the low service level. Nonetheless, rapid transit stations, such as Highway 7 / Chalmers Rd, Hwy 7 / Bayview and Hwy 7 / Valleymede on the Viva Purple, are usually relatively close by from most homes in the neighbourhood.
