Part of the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area, Summit is a neighbourhood within Hamilton, Ontario.

Transportation

The preferred transportation option in Summit is usually a car. Parking is easy, and the majority of homes for sale are a very short drive from the closest highway, such as Highway 403. Travelling on foot is not very practical for residents in Summit since very few daily needs can be met by walking. Summit is also not very amenable to biking as bicycling is made arduous by the typically hilly area, and the bicycling network is quite bad.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Summit. With respect to eating, property owners in this neighbourhood almost always have to turn to a vehicle to travel to the closest grocery store.

Character

People who prefer a relaxed ambience will enjoy Summit. Summit is fairly good for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although there are still several louder areas, especially around Highway 403. Parks aren't well-situated, which makes it rather challenging to get to them. Still, residents will be able to access green spaces in nearby neighbourhoods.
