Poplar Park is a fairly pleasant part of Hamilton for pedestrians; many daily errands can be run without needing to resort to a vehicle. In contrast, commuting by bicycle is sometimes difficult in this neighbourhood because there are a good number of slopes, and the cycling infrastructure is not very extensive. This part of the city is quite car friendly. Parking is easy. In contrast, the public transit service in Poplar Park is not very frequent. Nevertheless, house owners are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most houses.
