Part of the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area, Corman is a neighbourhood within Hamilton, Ontario.

Transportation

Physically active property owners will be pleased with the walk-friendly nature of Corman; many daily errands can be run on foot. However, this area is not particularly appropriate for cycling as Corman is home to a rather poor bicycling infrastructure. Nevertheless, there are not many hills to challenge cyclists. Corman is car friendly. It is easy to find a place to park. However, the public transit network in Corman is not very convenient. Thankfully, property owners are served by a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually very close.

Services

Schools and daycares are straightforward to access on foot from most properties for sale in Corman. With respect to eating, it is easy to get to the nearest grocery store by walking from any home in Corman. Likewise, a coffee shop is usually a rather short stroll away, and there are also a limited number of choices for those who value nearby restaurants.

Character

Corman offers a reasonably good selection of green spaces to enjoy, despite its sometimes busy atmosphere. Parks, such as Oakridge/Lindsay Open Space, are especially well-situated and there are a few of them close by for residents to unwind in, which makes it easy to reach them from most locations within this neighbourhood. Thanks to the presence of few pedestrians, this part of Hamilton is relatively quiet; however noise levels are higher closer to the railway line.

Housing

Corman experienced its biggest construction boom in the 1960s and 1970s, so most of the available properties are from this time period. In this neighbourhood, the majority of dwellings are single detached homes, but small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. Around three quarters of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the remainder are rented. This part of Hamilton is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
