The neighbourhood of Allison is part of the city of Hamilton, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is a very good means of transportation in this part of Hamilton. It is easy to park, and many houses for sale are a rather short drive from the nearest highway. In contrast, public transit users may find few options in Allison by reason of the low service level. Nonetheless, property owners benefit from a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually just around the corner. Allison is not especially amenable to cycling since the bicycling network is not very extensive, and the area is not particularly flat. There also aren't many pedestrians out on the streets of this part of the city, even though many common errands can be run on foot.
