Situated within the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, West Dover is a community within Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Cars are an excellent medium of transportation in West Dover. Parking is quite easy. This area is not very bicycling-friendly as there are a good number of elevation changes, and there are very few bike lanes. Walking is also not very practical for house buyers in West Dover as almost no common errands can be run without having to resort to a car.

Services

This community does not have any high schools or primary schools. In terms of food, it is very rarely possible for house buyers in West Dover to buy groceries on foot.

Character

Home buyers who prefer a calm environment will enjoy West Dover. West Dover is very quiet overall, as the streets tend to be very calm. Parks aren't well-distributed, making them very difficult to access from a lot of locations within this part of Halifax. Despite that, there are a few green spaces close by for residents to relax in, such as West Dover Park.

Housing

Roughly 90% of the units in the community are occupied by homeowners and 10% are occupied by renters. The predominant housing types in this community are single detached homes and row houses.
