Part of the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Portland Estates is a neighbourhood within Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Portland Estates is an extraordinarily good part of Halifax for travelling by car. Nearby highways are reasonably easy to access from anywhere in this neighbourhood, and coming across a place to park is easy. On the other hand, the public transit network in Portland Estates is not very convenient. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by around 10 bus lines, and bus stops are usually nearby. Portland Estates is cycling-friendly. Walking is not particularly practical for house buyers in Portland Estates because few common errands can be run on foot.

Services
