The community of Middle Sackville can be found in the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are a great medium of transportation in this part of the municipality. It is a reasonably short drive to the closest highway from anywhere in Middle Sackville, and it is very convenient to park. On the other hand, public transit riders may experience few options in Middle Sackville due to the service's low frequency. Nevertheless, the community is served by a few bus lines, and most residences are very close to a bus stop. Middle Sackville is not very convenient for walking as very few daily needs can be met without needing to resort to a vehicle. The bike is a fairly poor means of transportation in this area because there is a significant amount of elevation changes, and the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive.

Services

In all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is needed in Middle Sackville to reach the nearest supermarket. Residents are served by a few restaurants and cafes. In terms of education, schools and daycares are convenient to access on foot from any location in Middle Sackville.

Character

Middle Sackville is a great community to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. This area is very quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Lastly, most locations within the community have reasonably good access to green spaces, such as Sackville Heights Elementary School Park and Millwood Common Park, since there are approximately 30 of them close by for residents to visit and reaching a park from a large number of homes is very easy.

In Middle Sackville, the majority of dwellings are single detached homes, while the remainder are mainly mobile homes and townhouses. About 40% of properties in this part of the municipality were constructed following the year 2000, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1980s. This community offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. About 85% of the dwellings in the community are occupied by homeowners and the remainder are rented.
