Located within the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Lakeside is a community in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

The car is usually the preferred way to move around in this area. It is especially convenient to park, and it is a rather short drive to the closest highway from anywhere in Lakeside. However, public transit riders may experience few choices in Lakeside as a result of the infrequent service. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the community, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most houses. Lakeside is reasonably cycling-friendly as there are not many slopes in most of the topography to challenge cyclists. It is inconvenient for pedestrians to move around in this community since very few common errands can be run on foot.
