Basinview is a neighbourhood within Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Basinview is an extraordinarily convenient part of Halifax for getting around by car. It is straightforward to park, and it is a short drive to the nearest highway from any home in this part of the municipality. However, Basinview is not an especially convenient part of Halifax for getting around by public transit. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most homes. Commuting by bicycle is sometimes difficult in this area as there is a significant amount of slopes, and there are few bike lanes. Basinview is also not very well-suited for those who travel by foot since very few daily errands can be run without the use of a car.

Services

Buying one's groceries very often necessitates the use of a vehicle in Basinview. Regarding education, daycares and primary schools are easy to get to on foot from any location in this neighbourhood. In contrast, Basinview does not have any high schools.
