The community of Middle Porters Lake is part of the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Middle Porters Lake is an extremely good part of Halifax for getting around by car. It is very easy to park. Travelling on foot is not very practical for property owners in this part of the municipality since almost no day-to-day errands can be run without the use of a vehicle. The bike is a rather poor method of transportation in Middle Porters Lake because the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive, and the terrain is not especially flat.
