The community of Point Edward is part of the municipality of Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

The car is very often the preferred mode of transportation in this part of the municipality. It is a short car ride to the closest highway from any home in Point Edward, and it is especially convenient to find a place to park. Biking is challenging in this area because the cycling network is quite poor, and there are a good number of hills. Walking is also not very feasible for home buyers in Point Edward since very few day-to-day errands can be run on foot.
