Middle Cape

Part of the Cape Breton metropolitan area, Middle Cape is a community within Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Driving is a great medium of transportation in Middle Cape. It is very convenient to access a parking spot. It is very impractical for pedestrians to move around in this area because almost no common errands can be run on foot. Middle Cape is also not particularly amenable to cycling since there are a fair number of slopes to challenge cyclists, and the bicycling network is not very well-developed.

Services

Middle Cape does not have any high schools or primary schools. Concerning food, property owners in this part of the municipality almost always need a car to access the nearest supermarket.

Character

Middle Cape offers a relaxed environment and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. Although this part of the municipality does not contain any green spaces, parks are spread out sporadically in nearby communities, resulting in them being very easy to reach from a large number of locations in the community. This community is also quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.

Housing

Roughly 30% of properties in Middle Cape were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s. In this community, the overwhelming majority of buildings are single detached homes. Homeowners occupy about 90% of the units in Middle Cape and 10% are rented. This community offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
