Part of the Cape Breton metropolitan area, Long Island is a community within Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

This part of the municipality is especially car friendly. Accessing a parking spot is generally easy. This part of the municipality is not very convenient for walking because meeting daily needs is almost impossible on foot. It is also very difficult to travel by bike in Long Island since the bicycling network is not very comprehensive, and the topography is not particularly flat.

Services

Long Island does not have any high schools or primary schools. Concerning food, shopping for one's groceries usually requires the use of a car in this area.

Character

Long Island offers a relaxed atmosphere and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time in green spaces.
