Barrachois

Barrachois is a community within Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

This area is very car friendly. It is especially convenient to park. Barrachois is not very conducive to bicycling because there are a good number of hills for cyclists to brave, and there are very few bike lanes. Travelling on foot is also not very convenient for property owners in this community as many daily needs are nearly impossible to carry out by walking.

Services

In all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is needed to shop for groceries. In terms of education, there are no high schools and no primary schools in this part of Cape Breton Municipality.

Character

Barrachois offers a relaxed environment and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. The noise levels in this area are very low, as the streets are very tranquil. Finally, although the community is not home to any parks, public green spaces aren't well-distributed in nearby communities, making it very easy to reach them.
