Part of the Cape Breton metropolitan area, Scotch Lake is a community within Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Driving is a great transportation option in this community. It is very convenient to come across a parking spot. Walking is not very practical for residents in Scotch Lake because almost no common errands can be run without having to resort to a vehicle. It is also very difficult to move around by bicycle in this community as the cycling network is not very well-developed, and there are a good number of slopes to challenge cyclists.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in this part of the municipality. As far as food is concerned, in all cases, a car is required to shop for groceries.

Character

Scotch Lake offers a relaxed atmosphere and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. This part of Cape Breton Municipality is very quiet, as the streets are usually especially calm.
