The community of Frenchvale is part of the municipality of Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

The favoured approach to get around in this community is very often a car. Finding a parking spot is generally easy. Travelling on foot is not very practical for property owners in this part of Cape Breton Municipality as almost no common errands can be run without having to resort to a vehicle. Frenchvale is also not very appropriate for cycling because the cycling network is not very comprehensive, and the terrain is not very flat.
