Blacketts Lake

The community of Blacketts Lake is part of the municipality of Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

This area is especially car friendly. Coming across a place to park is easy. Many of the houses for sale in this part of Cape Breton Municipality are located in areas that are not very well-suited for those who travel by foot because running daily errands is very inconvenient by walking. Blacketts Lake is also not very conducive to biking as the bicycling network is quite bad, and there are a good number of elevation changes.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Blacketts Lake. When it comes to eating, home buyers in this community almost always have to use a car to do their groceries.

Character

People who prefer a slower-paced ambience will enjoy Blacketts Lake. Although this part of the municipality does not contain any parks, green spaces are few and far between in nearby communities, making them very easy to get to. The noise levels in this area are also very low, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.

Housing

The substantial proportion of single detached homes in the housing stock of Blacketts Lake is an important part of its character. This community offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes.
