Dundarave is a neighbourhood within West Vancouver, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is a very good transportation option in Dundarave. It is convenient to park, and it is a reasonably short car ride to the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, from any location in Dundarave. However, commuting by transit can be challenging in this part of the municipality due to the low service level. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. There aren't many pedestrians out on the streets of Dundarave, although most daily needs are easy to carry out on foot. Biking is also occasionally difficult in this part of West Vancouver since there are quite a few hills, and the bicycling network is not particularly extensive. Nevertheless, there is a high density of bike riders.

Services

Parents and their children will value that wherever their property is located in this neighbourhood, primary schools and daycares are close by. However, there are no high schools in Dundarave. As far as eating is concerned, some house buyers in this neighbourhood may be able to shop for their groceries by walking, while others will have to use another means of transportation. A limited variety of restaurants can be found in Dundarave as well. Likewise, it is convenient to reach a variety of clothing stores on foot.

Character

Home buyers who prefer a calm environment will enjoy Dundarave. This neighbourhood is very quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Lastly, there are approximately 20 green spaces nearby for residents to check out and they are very well-distributed, making it very easy to access them.

Homeowners occupy about three quarters of the dwellings in the neighbourhood and one quarter are rented. In this part of the municipality, the majority of dwellings are single detached homes, while the remainder are mainly large apartment buildings, small apartment buildings, and duplexes. Roughly one quarter of properties in this neighbourhood were built pre-1960, while most of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1980s. This neighbourhood has a good choice of unit sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.
