The neighbourhood of Deer Ridge can be found in the municipality of West Vancouver, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

The preferred way to get around in this part of the municipality is usually a car. Many real estate listings are a very short car ride from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, and parking is easy. In contrast, the public transit network in this neighbourhood is not very accessible. Moving around by bicycle is very hard in Deer Ridge as there are very few bike lanes, and cyclists encounter a significant amount of elevation changes. Travelling on foot is also not very feasible for house buyers in Deer Ridge because meeting daily needs is challenging.

Services

It is a very short walk to get to both primary and secondary schools from most properties for sale in this part of the municipality. In contrast, there are only a few daycares and therefore they can be an extended walk away. Concerning food, house buyers in Deer Ridge almost always have to rely on a vehicle to purchase their groceries.

Character

This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. About 85% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 15% are rented. The homes in this area are relatively new, because around 40% of its dwellings were constructed after the year 2000, while most of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s.
