Transportation

This neighbourhood is especially car friendly. It is very easy to park, and it is a reasonably short drive to the closest highway from anywhere in this part of West Vancouver. In contrast, public transit riders may find limited choices in Cypress as a result of the low service level. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. Cypress is not very well-suited for walking since very few daily errands can be run without needing to resort to a car. Cypress is also not particularly bike-friendly as riding is made arduous by the often hilly terrain, and there are very few bike lanes.

Services

Parents and their kids will welcome that wherever their property is located in this neighbourhood, primary schools and daycares are nearby. However, there are no high schools in this area. With regards to food, in all but a very small number of cases, a car is required to do groceries.

Character

Home buyers who prefer a relaxed ambience will enjoy Cypress. This area is quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic. Lastly, it is very easy to get to green spaces since there are a few of them close by for residents to explore.

Housing

Around one quarter of properties in Cypress were built prior to the 1960s, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1980s. The large percentage of single detached homes in the housing stock of this neighbourhood is an important part of its character. Roughly 85% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the remainder are rented. This neighbourhood offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
