Stave Falls

The neighbourhood of Stave Falls is part of the municipality of Mission, British Columbia, which is located in the Abbotsford - Mission metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is a great means of transportation in this part of Mission. It is very convenient to come across a place to park. Travelling on foot is not very practical for residents in this part of the municipality because most day-to-day needs are very difficult to carry out by walking. Cycling is also at times difficult in Stave Falls since there are very few bike lanes, and there is a considerable amount of hills.

Services

There are only a very small number of primary schools in this neighbourhood and therefore they can be a very long walk away. Likewise, Stave Falls does not contain any high schools. With regards to food, in all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is required to purchase groceries.

Character

Stave Falls offers a slower-paced environment. Most areas in Stave Falls are very quiet, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue. The majority of locations within the neighbourhood have reasonably good access to green spaces, including Rolley Lake Provincial Park, since they are spread out sporadically. Still, there are a few parks close by for residents to explore.

Housing

In Stave Falls, the overwhelming majority of dwellings are single detached homes, but duplexes are also present in the housing stock. This part of Mission is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Roughly 90% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home whereas renters make up the remainder. About 30% of properties in this part of the municipality were constructed between 1960 and 1980, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s.
