Situated in the Greater Kamloops metropolitan area, Valleyview is a neighbourhood within Kamloops, British Columbia.

Transportation

Driving is a great transportation option in this neighbourhood. Nearby highways, such as Trans-Canada Highway, are very easy to reach from any location in this part of Kamloops, and it is especially convenient to find a place to park. In contrast, the public transit system in Valleyview is not very convenient. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most properties. This part of the city is not especially suited for biking because cyclists encounter a significant amount of hills, and the cycling network is not very comprehensive. It is also inconvenient for pedestrians to get around in Valleyview as very few daily needs can be carried out on foot.

Services

Some, but not all, house buyers in Valleyview will live within walking distance of the nearest grocery store. There are also a few options for those who appreciate restaurants and cafes in close proximity. Regarding education, in Valleyview, parents and their kids will often be able to reach schools and daycares by walking.

Character

Valleyview is a good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. This part of Kamloops is quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - however some areas can be quite loud, especially closer to the railway line, Yellowhead Offramp Highway or Trans-Canada Highway. Finally, green spaces are very well-spread out and there are a few of them close by for residents to enjoy, which makes it easy to get to them from most locations within Valleyview.
