Located in the Greater Kamloops metropolitan area, Upper Sahali is a neighbourhood within Kamloops, British Columbia.

Transportation

Cars are an excellent transportation option in Upper Sahali. Many real estate listings are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway, such as highway 5a, and it is very convenient to find a parking spot. However, getting around by public transit is difficult in this part of the city. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and most residences are very close to a bus stop. This part of the city is not very suitable for walking since running daily errands is occasionally difficult on foot. On the other hand, it is convenient to move around by bicycle in Upper Sahali.

Services

Reaching the nearest grocery store by walking is an option for some, but not all, property owners in Upper Sahali. There are also a few restaurants and coffee shops in this part of Kamloops. Regarding education, daycares and primary schools are convenient to get to on foot from any location in Upper Sahali. However, high schools are not particularly numerous and accordingly may require an extended walk to get to.

Character

Home buyers who prefer a relaxed environment will enjoy Upper Sahali. Reaching public green spaces, like Gleneagles Park and Albert McGowan Park, is very easy from a large number of locations in the neighbourhood since there are about 10 of them close by for residents to explore. This part of the city is quiet overall, as the streets are usually quite tranquil - although there are still several noisier areas, especially around Hillside Offramp Way or highway 5a.

Housing

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing around 45% of dwellings in Upper Sahali, while small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. Roughly 40% of homes in this part of the city were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1980s and the 1990s.
