Sahali is a community within Kamloops, British Columbia, which is located in the Greater Kamloops metropolitan area.

Transportation

The car is usually the favoured way to move around in this community. It is very convenient to park, and most houses for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway. However, the public transit network in Sahali is rather limited. Nonetheless, there are approximately 10 bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily nearby. Biking is easy in this area. Walking is not especially practical for home buyers in Sahali because many daily needs are at times challenging to carry out without the use of a vehicle.

Services

It is a reasonably short walk to get to daycares and schools from most properties for sale in Sahali. Apart from public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools. Concerning food, some, but not all, home buyers in Sahali will live within walking distance of the closest grocery store. There are also a few opportunities for those who appreciate restaurants and cafes in close proximity.

Character

Sahali is a fairly good community to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. There are approximately 10 parks nearby for residents to visit, like Albert McGowan Park and Peterson Creek Nature Park, and they are very well-spread out, making it very easy to get to them. This part of Kamloops is reasonably quiet overall, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - however some areas can be quite noisy, especially closer to columbia street west or Trans-Canada Highway.

Housing

In Sahali, about 40% of buildings are single detached homes, but small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. Roughly 45% of properties in this area were built between 1960 and 1980, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1980s and the 1990s. This area is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. About two thirds of the units in the community are occupied by homeowners and one third are rented.
