The neighbourhood of Carey is part of the municipality of Saanich, British Columbia, which is situated in the Greater Victoria metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is an excellent medium of transportation in this part of the municipality. It is easy to park, and nearby highways, such as Trans-Canada Highway, are very easy to reach from any home in this neighbourhood. In contrast, the public transit service in this part of Saanich is rather poor. Thankfully, there are about 20 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far away from most residences. A fair number of people in the area use their bike because the bicycling infrastructure is reasonably good. However, walking is not very common in Carey, even though many daily needs can be met on foot.

Services

It is often an option for home buyers in Carey to buy groceries on foot. There are also a few restaurants in this part of Saanich. Concerning education, schools and daycares are straightforward to get to on foot from any location in Carey. Apart from public schools, there are private primary and high schools.
