Situated within the Greater Kelowna metropolitan area, Casa Loma is a neighbourhood in West Kelowna, British Columbia.

Transportation

This part of the municipality is very car friendly. It is especially convenient to park. This part of the municipality is not very conducive to walking as running common errands is very inconvenient on foot. On the other hand, this neighbourhood is reasonably cycling-friendly.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in this neighbourhood. Furthermore, it can be very hard to access daycares on foot. Regarding eating, some, but not all, house buyers in Casa Loma will live within walking distance of the closest supermarket.

Character

Casa Loma is a wonderful neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a calm environment. This part of West Kelowna is very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Lastly, it is easy to get to green spaces in the neighbourhood since there are a few of them nearby for residents to unwind in.

Housing

In Casa Loma, most buildings are single detached homes, while duplexes are the main housing type in the rest of the housing stock. This part of the municipality offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. About 90% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners whereas the rest are rented. The homes in this part of the municipality are quite new, since roughly 40% of its dwellings were built between 1960 and 1980, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1990s and the 2000s.
