Transportation

Cars are an excellent transportation option in this neighbourhood. Many homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, and it is very easy to park. However, commuting by public transit is difficult in Riverside West. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are usually nearby. Travelling by bicycle is easy in Riverside West as. It is sometimes challenging for pedestrians to move around in this area as few daily errands can be run without having to resort to a vehicle.

Services

In Riverside West, families will typically be able to get to daycares and primary schools on foot. On the other hand, there are no high schools in this part of District of North Vancouver. This neighbourhood is also especially quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.

Housing

Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing about one third of dwellings in this part of the municipality, whereas the remainder are mainly townhouses. Around 40% of homes in this area were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1980s and the 1990s.
